Dr. Baron has been involved in bone biology research for over 35 years and applies knowledge of the pathophysiology of skeletal diseases to developing new therapeutic approaches for bone disorders. Dr. Baron has extensive experience in the characterization of mouse models, with over 370 scientific papers in the field of bone biology and bone diseases. He has held leadership positions in industry, including Vice President and Head of Bone Diseases Research at Aventis (now Sanofi), as well as CSO and Head of R&D at Proskelia, a small pharmaceutical company he founded devoted to the discovery and development of new drugs for bone and hormonal dependent diseases.
